Youth Sports Programs in the Columbus Area.

All programs and camps are instructional in nature and place an emphasis on learning proper fundamentals in a fun, encouraging way. Click below to read about the details and structure of each program. Please let us know if you are interested in a sport that is not listed!

SOCCER

Mini Soccer Stars (Ages 3-4)

Bally Sports Group leads an age appropriate program that utilizes fun games and activities to teach the fundamentals to beginning soccer players. Coaches focus on teaching the basics of dribbling, passing, scoring, and the concept of game play. Proper sportsmanship is emphasized in a positive and encouraging atmosphere enabling children to enjoy learning soccer while also have fun being physically active. Each week will include both developmentally appropriate instruction as well as recreational, non-competitive game play.

Soccer Stars (Ages 5-6)

Bally Sports Group leads an age appropriate program that utilizes fun games and activities to teach the fundamentals of soccer. Coaches focus on continuing to develop basic soccer skills including dribbling, passing, spacing, defending, and concepts of game play. Proper sportsmanship is emphasized in a positive and encouraging atmosphere enabling children to enjoy learning soccer while also have fun being physically active. Each week will include both developmentally appropriate instruction as well as recreational, non-competitive game play.

Youth Soccer (Ages 7-9)

This exciting youth soccer program is great for payers of all abilities. Creating a relaxed atmosphere to promote fun and learning, players will participate in games that help develop the fundamentals of soccer. Additionally, participants will play a recreational scrimmage each week. Coaches will emphasize proper sportsmanship and teamwork in order to create a positive, active, soccer experience for older children.

BASKETBALL

Little Ballers (Ages 4-5)

Bally Sports Group provides children with a fun and educational first basketball experience! Players are taught the fundamentals of dribbling, shooting, passing, rebounding, defense, and the concept of game play. The curriculum incorporates teaching styles that help this age group build an understanding of the skills that are taught by utilizing fun terminology and engaging activities. A positive and encouraging atmosphere is created in which kids learn proper sportsmanship. Each week players participate in developmentally appropriate instruction and modified, recreational game play.

Shooting Stars (Ages 6-7)

Bally Sports Group provides children with a fun and educational basketball experience! Players are taught the fundamentals of dribbling, shooting, passing, rebounding, defense, and game play. This program furthers the development of each skill by providing appropriate progressions to challenge participants while still building their confidence. A positive and encouraging atmosphere is created in which kids learn proper sportsmanship and demonstrate respectful behavior. Each week players participate in developmentally appropriate instruction and recreational, modified game play.

Youth Basketball (Ages 8-10)

This highly active basketball program for older children will help skill development and promote physical activity. Players will participate in games and drills that focus on improving the fundamentals of each skill. The program will also include non-competitive scrimmages that are facilitated by the coaches. Staff will allow the children to play but also stop the game when teachable moments happen to help players learn different components of the game. With an emphasis on fun and physical activity, participants are sure to have a great basketball experience that includes both instruction and plenty of playing!

BASEBALL

Little Sluggers (Ages 3-4)

Bally Sports Group’s Little Sluggers is a great introduction to the game of baseball for young children. Using age appropriate activities, players will be introduced to fundamentals of baseball in an atmosphere that is supportive, fun, and encouraging. Each week, the program will include an instructional portion that will introduce players to batting, base running, fielding, throwing, and catching. A modified game will also be played each week. Although Bally Sports’ staff will lead all instruction, parent assistance is encouraged. The Little Sluggers T-Ball Program will provide your child with a fun and positive t-ball experience that will lead to continued participation in the sport.

Minor League (Ages 5-6)

Bally Sports’ Minor League Baseball is great introduction to coach-pitch baseball for beginning baseball players. The program incorporates instruction on batting, fielding, throwing, and catching. The program will also include a modified, non-competitive game each week. Bally Sports’ staff will lead each team’s instruction, although parent participation is encouraged. Bally Sports strives to emphasize the importance of great sportsmanship by creating an encouraging atmosphere that helps players build self-esteem and encourage future participation!

Major League (Ages 7-8)

In this fun baseball program, children will continue learning the game of baseball through more advanced game scenarios. Players will engage in a non-competitive game for a majority of the program. During the game, coaches will stop and explain to players in the outfield where they should throw the ball. As weeks progress, the concept of strikes and outs will be introduced while still maintaining a positive atmosphere that emphasizes encouragement regardless of the outcome of each play. Coaches will make sure to capitalize on teachable moments and eliminate any negative attitudes towards advanced game concepts.

DAY CAMPS

Sports Camps (Ages 6-12)

Have a ball at a Bally Sports Day Camp! Our sport specific camps include fun drills and games that are used to teach campers the basic skills pertinent to each sport. Instruction will also include fun-based, low-competition gameplay. Campers are carefully grouped by age and skill level. Whether your camper is a complete novice or experienced in the specific sport, our camps provide a great place for kids who enjoy being active! In addition to the specific sport or theme of the week, campers will also engage in many other fun activities. Depending on the facility, camps may also include swimming, walks to community parks, hiking trails, and more! Bally Sports Group camps provide a physically and emotionally safe environment that will ensure each camper has a great time while being physically active.

Mini Sports Camps (Ages 4-7)

Young campers will have a ball at our Mini-Sports Camp! Each day will focus on a different sport including soccer, basketball, football, hockey, track and field, and more! Campers will engage in age appropriate activities each day that will help them learn the fundamentals and rules of each specific sport. Staff will ensure campers are participating in a well-supervised environment that creates positive, social interactions and emphasizes the importance of sportsmanship. Campers will also be exposed to basic camp games and relay races. The Multi-Sports Camp is a highly active camp designed for younger children to have a great time being physically active while building new friendships!

FLAG FOOTBALL

Mini Mites Football (Ages 4.5-7)

With a strong emphasis on safety, the Mini Mites Flag Football Program introduces players to the fundamentals of football by using fun games and drills appropriate for this age group. Athletes will practice running the ball, pass routes, catching, throwing, blocking and game concepts during game play. In addition to the instructional activities, each week will include a modified game. Game play incorporates an equal amount of playing time and a rotation of positions. Parent help is encouraged for our football programs. Adults will serve as the quarterback during game play and will be sure to emphasize sportsmanship and demonstrate positive attitudes for these young athletes.

Lacrosse

Learn to Play (Ages 6-11)

Come out and learn the exciting game of lacrosse with Bally Sports! Children will be split by age group in this recreational camp, designed to introduce the basic skills and help players understand the rules and style of the game. Coaches will use fun games to teach participants the fundamentals including scooping ground balls, throwing, catching, cradling, shooting, and defending. Each day will include a practice portion and gameplay. Checking will not be allowed and there will be no physical contact. Face goggles, helmets, and pads are not required for this camp. Players are welcomed to bring their own sticks, but extra sticks will be provided for those who do not have their own.

Youth Pickleball

Learn to Play (Grades 1-6)

Come learn the fastest growing sport in the area with Bally Sports Group! Each week will be split into an instructional and gameplay portion. Participants will learn how to hit forehands, backhands, dinks, overheads and serves. Participants will also learn the rules of the game and taught basic strategy. Our program leaves children feeling excited about what they've learned, and encourages them to continue with the sport while getting quality physical activity!

TENNIS

Mini Servers (Ages 6-14)

The Bally Sports Group Tennis Program is a great introduction to the game for beginning players and refinement of the basic skills with additional challenges for intermediate players. Participants will learn the fundamentals including serving, stroke technique (forehand and backhand), rallying, and court awareness.The coaches create a comfortable environment that allow children to practice without feeling nervous about their performance. The coaches leading our tennis programs are dedicated to providing a fun and positive tennis experience for all players.

VOLLEYBALL

Learn to Volley (Ages 9-12)

Have a great time learning the sport of volleyball in the Bally Sports Group Volleyball Program! Throughout the duration of the program, participants will learn a wide variety of skills including passing, setting, blocking, and serving. Older players will also work on spiking. Each week will include small sided, modified games that help players learn spacing on the volleyball court, communication with teammates, and moving to the ball. The positive atmosphere makes for a fun learning experience catered to all skill abilities!
